The 2021 Australian Infrastructure Plan is a practical and actionable roadmap for infrastructure reform.

The Barwon Heads Road Duplication proposal seeks to duplicate a four kilometre section of Barwon Heads Road between Settlement Road and Reserve Road. The proposal includes construction of a new bridge over the rail line at Marshall and remove the level crossing, upgrade multiple intersections, a shared path, new street lighting and road signage.

The business case seeks to widen the nine-kilometre section of the M1 Pacific Motorway from six to eight lanes, consolidating on and off ramps, developing managed motorway technology, and extending the South East Busway to Springwood.

On 16 February 2018, Infrastructure Australia added the Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade project the Infrastructure Priority List as a Priority Project. 

On 30 August 2018, Infrastructure Australia chose not to include the Waurn Ponds Duplication Stage 2 project on the Infrastructure Priority List.

On 21 June 2018, Infrastructure Australia added the Monash Freeway Upgrade Stage 2 project to the Infrastructure Priority List as a High Priority Project.

On 18 October 2018, Infrastructure Australia added the North East Link project to the Infrastructure Priority List as a High Priority Project.

The business case involves the construction of a new bridge, downstream of the existing Bridgewater Bridge, in the north-west of Greater Hobart.
