In 2013, Infrastructure Australia recommended that the Melbourne Metro project be included on the 2013 Infrastructure Priority List as ‘Threshold’, upon three conditions.

In 2015, Infrastructure Australia recommended that the Main Road, St Albans Level Crossing Removal project submission be rated as ‘subject to further consideration’.

On 9 December 2016, Infrastructure Australia positively assessed the Murray Basin Rail Project as a Priority Project on the Infrastructure Priority List.

On 30 August 2018, Infrastructure Australia chose not to include the Waurn Ponds Duplication Stage 2 project on the Infrastructure Priority List.

Infrastructure Australia added the Ballarat Line Upgrade project to the Infrastructure Priority List as a Priority Project on 30 August, 2018.
