The Barwon Heads Road Duplication proposal seeks to duplicate a four kilometre section of Barwon Heads Road between Settlement Road and Reserve Road. This assessment brief outlines the Western Australian Government's proposal to build approximately 1.8 kilometres of dual carriageway and undertake a major intersection reconfiguration along the Leach Highway (High Street) in East Fremantle between Carrington Street and the Stirling Highway. The upgrade will reduce delays for freight vehicles, improve road capacity and improve network amenity along a section of urban arterial road. The Western Australian Government is seeking $57.2 million in Commonwealth funding for the project.

This assessment brief outlines the Victorian Government's proposal to upgrade the Intelligent Transport System (which manages information, communication and control systems to manage traffic flows) on the Monash Freeway (M1) between Warrigal Road and Clyde Road. The upgrade will improve the operational performance, effective capacity and safety on the Monash Freeway and provide travellers with a high-level, consistent user experience along the freeway by continuing the upgrade from Warrigal Road. The Victorian Government is seeking $137.1 million in Commonwealth funding for the project.
