On 1 November 2018, Infrastructure Australia added the Thornlie-Cockburn Link project to the Infrastructure Priority List as a Priority Project.

In 2011, Infrastructure Australia recommended the Eastern Busway Stages 2b and 3 project be rated as ‘Threshold’ in the Infrastructure Priority List.
