In 2011, Infrastructure Australia positively assessed the Adelaide Rail Freight – Goodwood and Torrens Rail Junctions project as Ready to Proceed, conditional upon four recommendations.

In 2011, Infrastructure Australia moved the Cross River Rail project in Brisbane from ‘Real Potential’ (June 2010), to ‘Threshold’ on the Infrastructure Priority List.

On 19 July 2017, Infrastructure Australia has retained Cross River Rail as a High Priority Initiative on the Infrastructure Priority List. Infrastructure Australia has not included the current proposal for Cross River Rail as a Project on the Infrastructure Priority List at this time.
