Agenda

The National PPP Working Group aims to:

  • Ensure value for money for both the private and public sectors in the delivery of PPPs;
  • Improve National PPP policy, guidelines and practices;
  • Increase consistency and cooperation across jurisdictions in the application of PPPs; and
  • Stimulate increased interest and competition in the PPP market.

The National PPP Working Group is pursuing these aims through a number of initiatives:

  • Continuing the evolution of the PPP model under the framework of the National PPP Policy & Guidelines;
  • Pooling resources and experience to address PPP-related challenges such as those posed by the Global Financial Crisis;
  • Investigating how barriers to competition and efficiency in the procurement of PPPs can be removed;
  • Promoting consistent approaches to procurement processes;
  • Developing skilled and experienced staff; and
  • Promoting research into the effectiveness of PPP approaches.
