Infrastructure Priority List

Infrastructure Australia develops the Infrastructure Priority List to:

  • identify projects of national significance;
  • ensure the nation's key infrastructure-related challenges are being addressed;
  • inform governments of the highest priority projects; and
  • prioritise access to the Infrastructure Tax Loss Incentive.

In previous years, the Infrastructure Priority List was updated annually through Infrastructure Australia's Report to Council of Australian Governments. The last update was in July 2013.

Following the implementation of the tax loss incentive for designated infrastructure projects, the priority list will now be updated in March, July and November each year. This heralds the next step in the accountability of infrastructure assessment in Australia.
